Important launches at 2012 Auto Expo

Well, the all diesel compact hatchback now comes with a sticker price of Rs 5.77 lakh for the RLX variant and Rs 6.25 lakh for the top end RXZ variant.  The 1.5 L K9K diesel engine uncompromisingly delivers 64 Bhp and 160 Nm peak power and torque numbers. The mileage of the car is exemplary at 23.5 kmpl to turn out to be a perfect competitor of its very cousin Nissan Micra, Maruti Swift diesel and Toyota Etios Liva diesel. Designed by Dilip Chhabria, the Avanti Sports car is not just about looks, it goes much deeper than that and over and above it is the price tag to talk about.

A sports car with Rs 30 lakh price tag is simply stunning. As a part of a shallow makeover, 2012 Toyota Innova and new Toyota Fortuner  are not because the company is loosing sales on it. Carrying the same 2.0 L petrol engine and a 2.4 L diesel powertrain, the exteriors makeover is clearly evident with the new Toyota Innova price of Rs 9.40 lakh. Toyota Fortuner is endowed with a 4x2 variant apart from petty changes on the fascia in the name of facelift. 

The big daddy among the SUVs is strill driven by the same 3.0 L D-4D engine with a new Toyota Fortuner price of Rs 19.9 lakh for 4x4 variant. This is exactly what the consumers are hoping for, a 4x2 option leading to a price cut!
