Tata Motors is on the verge of celebrations and why not when its British subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover is posting a growth beyond their expectations. A recent news tells us that JLR which had recently launched the Range Rover Evoque in India is expanding its Merseyside plant in Halewood to double its size. It is the same factory which produces the baby Evoque SUV, imported into the Indian car market as a CBU as of now where 3000 employees work together to deliver the overwhelming results.

The two British luxury car manufacturers intend to invest a sum of £ 100 million together to realise their plans. This expansion within the factory comes at a time when the Europe on an overall is undergoing a major financial crisis. Jaguar Land Rover is simply raising a toast to its success especially in the FY 2011-2012 when the UK and the India car markets haven’t shown promising results. The luxury car manufacturer has apparently crossed its targets for the current fiscal already recording a growth of 30% from last FY with a profit soon to touch 1.5 billion pounds.

The demand for the Jaguar Land Rover cars has spread to every nook and corner of the globe where apparently, the car manufacturer had asked its employees who share the contagious happy environment to work an extra shift that too at the Christmas time to meet the high demands for the cars. On another front, JLR is in the process of investing a huge capital of £ 355 million to develop its engine factory at Wolverhampton and another plant at Solihill. The duo are just short of creating a sensation in India as well bringing two new concepts C X16 sports car concept and DC 100 SUV concept to the 2012 Indian Auto Expo to focus on their growth potential in the Indian car market.
