JLR Hoping for Government Bailout

According to reports Britain’s business secretary Peter Mandelson will meet representatives of the UK auto industry on Wednesday to discuss a bailout package for auto industry of UK. JLR (jaguar land rover) which is owned by Tata group of industries is also expecting some relief for the company by this bail out.
This came at the time when all most every big car makers from US to Germany are feeling tremendous pressure of global recession and every one of them is seeking bailouts and loans from government.
Although there is not any conformation from the government side yet about any plan to bailout auto industry but auto industry is expecting some positive result of this meeting.
JLR has just hired former minister of tread Lord Digby Jones as corporate ambassador of the company. According to media reports there are speculations about this appointment that the company has appointed Lord Digby at the time when the company is in the need of bailout from government.
According to media reports Lord Mandelson met Tata officials during his India visit last week. There is no conformation from the Tata motors about this meet yet. However the bailout is looking obvious after major auto companies of many countries are in the process of bailout by their governments.
