The Japanese car maker, Nissan has showcased the Nissan GT Academy experience at the Indian Auto Expo. The highlight of the event was Karun Chandok who is Indian racing driver, public speaker and commentator. Nissan GT Academy was first started in 2008 by a joint venture of Nissan and Sony Technologies. The academy choses brilliant video game players and trains them to be profession drivers. It was the inaugural round of competition that was held recently at the 2nd day of Auto Expo.

At present, the GT Academy is spread in 35 countries across the globe and for the first time it has landed on the Indian shores to motivate and train the racing enthusiasts. However, the Indian GT Academy will impart training to only one winner in India, unlike its original series where more than one person is chosen for race track training.

Yesterday at the first day of Indian Auto Expo 2014, Nissan was also in buzz for unveiling the much awaited, Nissan Sunny face-lift. The new Sunny has received various alterations compared to its forerunner. Especially, the facia has been slightly tuned up with larger headlights, revamped grille, refurbished bumper and tuned up front windshield. Added to this, noticeable changes are also done at the sides to make the car more attractive.

Other than this, Nissan’s low cost subsidiary brand, Datsun was also introduced by the car maker at the first day of Auto Expo. From Datsun, the Redi Go Concept, the Go and the Go+ MPV were unleashed at the event yesterday.
