Mahindra invites top vendors for Ssangyong Launch

Mahindra & Mahindra who recently took over Ssangyong Motors intends to fly off 100 of the company's top most vendors to South Korea. The trip is likely to take place in May and it visions at managing the operations and also the launch of new cars in India.

Sangyong Motors 70 per cent stake has been acquired by Mahindra & Mahindra India. The Indian power automobile group has sent invitations to its top most vendors to interact with South Korean auto giants. Few of them are JBM, Lokesh, Sona Steering, Lumax, Delphi, Varroc and Visteon are important once.

As per a close associate, the company will interact about maximum business opportunities and also strive for better manufacturing practices. These companies will try to look into arenas in which they can resource common parts for its respective economies.

The vendors interaction happened in Capetown, Turkey and Macau earlier, Mahindra & Mahindra has almost 700 vendors in its tractor and auto mobile enterprise. Indian auto major has chosen an internal team which is helping in integration process with the foreign company. Together they wish to commence work for the future cars for the domestic auto market. As per the reports Ssangyong is interested in bringing Korando C and Rexton in India.

The South Korean auto company aims to develop a brand name for Ssangyong. The South Korean SUV makers product line up is not very substantial, so they wish to develop it. Ssangyong Motors wishes to put in Rs 960 crore for this year only to build its brand and on product development. For this year the auto company has targeted to sell 1.2 lakh cars which was 82,000 cars in 2010.
