With this update, the Mahindra Thar is now available with a fixed hardtop as standard across all its variants
The Mahindra Thar 3-door, debuted in its 2nd-generation avatar in 2020 was available with two distinct roofs- a soft top convertible iteration and a hardtop version. Now, some of our dealer sources have confirmed that the variants with the convertible soft-top roof have now been discontinued, which had a last recorded price ranging between Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 17.29 lakh (ex-showroom).

With this, the 3-door Thar is available exclusively with a fixed hard top now. No other changes have been made by the carmaker on the existing model.
Let us now take a look at everything the 3-door Thar has to offer:
Mahindra Thar: An Overview
The Mahindra Thar gets a boxy SUV design that looks timeless even to this date. It gets circular halogen headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels finished in gun metal grey and rectangular tail lights. It also gets a thick black cladding on its lower sides that gives it a macho and rugged look.
The interior, on the other hand, gets a simple design that focusses more on usability. It gets a small 7-inch touchscreen, analogue dials with a coloured multi-information display, circular AC vents with gloss black surrounds and a 3-spoke steering wheel.
The feature suite offers the basic amenities including a 6-speaker sound system, manual AC, cruise control and steering mounted audio controls. Its safety suite features dual airbags, rear parking sensors, a roll cage, electronic stability control (ESC) and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
