Finally, we have a date! Mahindra has announced the global debut of the XUV700 on August 14. We are also expecting the bookings to commence on the same date. Recently, Mahindra unveiled its new logo which will first debut on the XUV700.
The Mahindra XUV700 will come as a replacement to the XUV500, which will later be re-introduced as a five-seater rival to the Creta. The upcoming SUV will mostly be available in six and seven seater configurations.
Till now, Mahindra has teased the XUV700’s AdrenoX and Amazon Alexa-powered 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, drive modes, 3D Sony Sound System, 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, driver drowsiness detection, and high-beam assist.
It will further feature a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, and a built-in air filter. Mahindra XIV700 could also get the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), possibly including auto emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection, and adaptive cruise control.

The XUV700 will be powered by the Thar’s 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, but in a higher state of tune. The powertrains should be mated to 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions along with an optional 4WD.
The XUV700 is expected to be priced between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 22 lakh, rivaling the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar.
