Maruti Eko will hit the market before Diwali

All new Maruti Omni which will be named as Maruti Eko will be launched during this festive season. The comapny will shortly roll out the model and it will hit the markets before Diwali. Maruti Eko has been developed under code name O2 that uses the Maruti Versa platform. This model would be priced below Rs. 5 lakh.
Coming out with 796cc engine which produces 35bhp with peak torque at 6.1/Kgm, Maruti Eko will be weighing around 750kg. Maruti Omni is one of the most popular vans in India and has helped Maruti to capture a large market share in India.
The current model of Maruti Omni was built on Maruti 800 model but the new model will attract a premium. Tata Motors is all set to launch Tata Manza on October 14 that will come with two engine options. On the other side, General Motors luxury Sedan model Chevrolet Cruze has been launched in India.
