Maruti eyes to revive sales, all set to launch more cars this festive seaosn

The major auto makers in the country are trying their best to cope up with the current slowdown in the market. The way that the companies have chosen to cope up with this slowdown is by launching new models in the market. It is expected that the Indian auto market is going to witness around 2 dozen cars in the market by this festive season, ranging from hatchbacks to the SUVs. All these cars will be launched with the expectations that the cars would be liked by the Indian customers and would help the companies to equalize the losses they have incurred due to the slowdown in the market.

Maruti Executive said that the new cars create agitation and increase the sales. India's largest car maker Maruti India also witnessed a decline of 4% in June this year. Due to this Maruti India has also planned to launch its new models in the market. The company is launching new Maruti Swift in the hatchback segment, new Maruti Swift Dzire in the sedan segment and the all new  Maruti R3 in the SUV segment. All these cars are expected to be launched by the end of 2011.
Maruti R3 will be launched to compete with the market leader Toyota Innova which has taken the control over the MUV segment in the country. The company's Swift Dzire is expected to have a low price this time due to the reduction of 12% in the tax duty on the cars under 4 meter length, and this could surely benefit the company.

The loss was not just due to the slowdown but also due to the 13 day strike at the Manesar plant and due to annual maintenance shutdown. Not only Maruti India but other companies also have planned to launch new cars in the market by the end of this year. Each one of them trying to launch their cars at affordable prices in the market so that the sales of their car do not get much affected by the launch of cars in the same segment by the other brands.

Toyota after the success of its Toyota Etios sedan has launched a car in the hatchback segment named Toyota Etios Liva, other companies have also announced to launch new cars on the same platform. Honda Brio, Mahindra Mini Xylo and Skoda Rapid are among the most awaited car launches in 2011. The cars have been designed keeping in mind the needs of the Indian Buyers. In this second half of the year the Indian customers will have a lot of options to choose from, while purchasing their car.
