Maruti Suzuki India gripped with excitement delivers another hot news to the overly sensationalised car industry. While many car manufacturers are still counting on their options to whether or not introduce a price hike, Maruti India has confidently voiced out its opinion by implementing around 3.4 % price hike across their models except Maruti Swift Dzire. This will translate to more or less a price rise in the range of Rs 2,400 to Rs 17,300 across its models to ensure its growth this year especially after a worse period it underwent in 2011.
This is just a start as Maruti India has no inclination to share any of its profits this time with its fans. Its intentions are more than evident from the upcoming Maruti Swift Dzire CS launch which is likely to leave the consumers stoned with the pricing strategy the auto major is likely to adopt for the compact sedan. Agreed that Maruti Suzuki India is going to score a couple of points with the compact sedan, on more than one ground. The compact sedan is going to be fraught with features especially when the auto major is boasting to endow the Swift Dzire compact sedan with 150 new features.
The flying rumour tells us that MSI might place the petite Maruti Swift Dzire price higher than what it is now pushing the Rs 5 lakh mark as a part of making up for the losses in the past year. On the ohter hand, we are still awaiting the news from the other car manufacturers like Toyota India, Hyundai India and General Motors who have warned the consumers of the closer to 3% rise in prices in 2012 which is though stalled for the moment is imminent at some point or the other.
