Mercedes AMG Petronas to Partner with Bharti Airtel for the Indian Grand Prix

Latest coming in from the eminent stables of Mercedes-Benz is the confirmation of the race partnership agreement between Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team with Bharti Airtel for the 2012 Airtel Grand Prix. Bharti Airtel was the title sponsor last year for the Grand Prix which took place at the Budh International Circuit, New Delhi and this year it would continue to hold the position.
Headrest and airbox of the Mercedes-Benz AMG F1 W03 will have the Airtel branding. Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg’s helmets and racesuits will also have same during the 2012 Airtel Indian Grand Prix weekend. Bharti Airtel will host innovative content and experiences, pre and during the Indian Grand Prix along with Mercedes AMG Petronas. Both the racers, Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg will feature in a Television campaign in India to promote the race and Bharti Airtel performance.
Ross Brawn, Team Principal of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team commented on the occasion, saying that Bharti Airtel have supported the sport in India from the outset and therefore they are delighted with the association and that they are looking forward to working with Bharti Airtel in order to popularize the sport in India. Bharti Airtel’s Global Brand Director, Bharat Bambawale said that Bharti Airtel took a lead in bringing the Formula One dreams alive in India and sponsored the first ever Indian Grand Prix and with this partnership, they look forward to building the motorsport heritage further.
