Mercedes Benz CLA-Class, the official name of Concept Style Coupe

Mercedes Benz big release this year will be the CLA-Class coupe, the car was displayed at Beiing Motor Show 2012 with the name Style Concept Coupe. The car is a perfect amalgamation of coupe and sedan, will be introduced as an entry level sporty model in Mercedes-Benz’s line up. The CSC is built on Mercedes MFA platform and the power is derived from the 2L turbo petrol engine that generates 211 Bhp of peak power. The engine comes with 4MATIC all wheel drive system and to increase the efficency the car comes with a 7G-Tronic automatic gearbox.

The 4MATIC drive system enhances the driving experience and also caters lot of grip to give you some sure footed handling.  The sharpness that was well captured in the Concept Style Coupe is likely to be retained with the production version CLA-Class; the designing is said to be profuse and youthful as Mercedes target consumer for this coupe is the young generation, first time buyers.

As for the proportions the car will measure the sames as the C-Class sedan and hence one can expect this sporty proposition to come with the same price tag. With the MFA platform Mercedes will be able to keep a check on the production cost and will be able to keep it at bare minimum. Mercedes- Benz is expected to unveil four more entry level offerings and as per rumors the company is going to introduce a few on Indian roads too in the coming year.

The four model includes 2012 B-Class sports tourer that is likely to come later this year, the car will be offered in petrol fuel option only with the diesel engine coming at a later point. The next in line is the entry level  A-Class sports hatchback, whose covers was lifted at the  2012 New York Auto Show. The CLA class coupe is the third model and lastly the GLC crossover will be launched. The GLC crossover will be Mercedes answer to its rival BMW X1 and Audi Q3.
