Mercedes Benz GLA 45 AMG to Launch on 27 October

Mercedes Benz will launch GLA 45 AMG in the last week of October on 27th after Diwali. GLA 45 AMG is the powerful version of the recently launched GLA crossover SUV. Prices are expected to be slightly higher than the most economical Mercedes-AMG on sale in the country - CLA 45 AMG. Mechanically, GLA 45 AMG shares the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder motor with the CLA 45 AMG.

What differentiate's GLA 45 AMG from GLA is the meaner looking AMG add-ons. The vehicle features sportier front bumper, new grille with 'AMG' badging, side skirts, rear bumper gets diffusers and quad exhausts, red highlights & contrasting black roof. Speaking of the interiors, dashboard is fairly identical to the CLA 45 AMG, black and aluminum metal inserts compliment its sporty DNA. Just like any other AMG, GLA offers Recaro-AMG sports seats at front, upholstered in leather with red highlights.

GLA 45 AMG sources power from Mercedes 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-pot petrol heart. Mercedes gloats that this 2.0-liter AMG motor is the most powerful series-production four-cylinder turbo engine in the world. The engine chucks out 355bhp of max power and 450Nm of peak torque. The powerplant is mated to an AMG SpeedShift DCT 7-Speed sports transmission and comes with three modes 'M' - Manual, 'S' – Sports and 'C' – Controlled Efficiency modes. GLA 45 AMG also comes with standard AMG 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.
