Mercedes Benz SLS AMG priced at Rs 2.5 cr

German luxury car maker Mercedes Benz launched its stylish new super sports car SLS AMG on 16th July. This car is priced at Rs 2.5 crore. This modish car, which has got smart gull-wing doors, comes with a 6.3-litre V8 engine. The  seven-speed sports transmission in the car supports a top-speed of 317 km/hr.

SLS AMG which has got a posh aluminium body will now give a strong competition to Audi R8 and Porsche 911. It is also a pleasure to know that India comes among the first right hand drive markets where the company has launched its new model within few weeks of its global launch.

Wilfried Aulbur MD & CEO Mercedes Benz India said that the new SLS AMG has got a handcrafted engine and also unique doors. He also said that the interest shown by the Indian customers is beyond their expectations. He also said that the new model launch will reflect on the sales of other cars in India.

Merecedes Benz sold around 388 cars in the month of June which is almost twice of its sale in the previous year. The major sales came from the SedanC200 which was introduced in May. The newly launched sports car has come after 16 new product launches by Merecedes Benz India, this year.
