Mercedes-AMG C 43 Launch On December 14

Mercedes is strengthening its lineup of 'affordable AMGs'. The third addition to the '43' range of AMG models will be the hot version of the C-Class. The Mercedes-AMG C 43 goes on sale on December 14, following its brethren, the SLC 43 and the GLE 43 (launched as the GLE450 AMG). Notably, this is the thirteenth launch from the German automaker this year. 

It retains its family face with the all-LED headlamps and the 'diamond' grille. There are AMG-specific details too, that include the 18-inch alloy wheels, the black mirror housing and of course, the 'BITURBO-4MATIC' badging on the fenders. Other unique touches include the AMG instrument cluster and the red aluminium accent on the engine cover. 

The biggest talking point, of course, is the engine. The C 43 coupe houses a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine that is good for 367PS of power and 520Nm of torque. Mated to Mercedes' slick 9-speed automatic transmission, power is channelled to all four wheels courtesy the 4MATIC four-wheel drive tech. It also gets Sports suspension and steering as standard, that will let you fiddle around with their settings individually. The AMG Dynamic Select is also on offer that gets the usual "Eco", "Comfort", "Sport", "Sport+" and "Individual" modes. 

The C 43 is likely to be priced around the Rs 65 lakh mark. The price means it will lock horns with the Audi S5, which is due for an update itself.
