Mercedes-Benz had launched the G55 AMG two years ago on the Valentine’s Day. This time around, the launch is on the 19th February to mark the launch of the new Hollywood flick “A Good Day to Die Hard” as it has featured several Mercedes-Benz vehicles in it starting from the C-Class, the G-Wagon up to the six-wheel drive Unimog.
The G63 AMG will replace the existing G55 AMG that was a 5.5-litre V8 supercharged mill. The G63 has a 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 engine, which helps to squeeze out more power from the eight cylinders. The G55 AMG is definitely an iconic SUV from Mercedes-Benz that now gets interiors like SLS AMG and is a capable off-roader as it has three differential locks.
The G63 AMG like the G55 is one of the AMG jewels amongst the stars. The G63 also gets some cosmetic upgrades over the G55 and the easiest differentiators are the daytime running lamps and the new exterior mirrors. The instrument panel and centre console have been completely redesigned to include new controls and generously proportioned, exclusively designed trim elements. These give the interior of the car a fresh and classy look. Drivers will now find a TFT colour display in the instrument cluster between the two round dials. The pricing of this vehicle will be similar to that of its predecessor and will cost about Rs 1.4 crores on the road after all the taxes.
