Near production version Maruti Suzuki Ciaz showcased at 2014 Auto China

Suzuki displays the Alivio concept at the Auto China'14, well certainty this is the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in imminent production phase. The Alivio concept is a derivative of the Ciaz concept which the company showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo; Alivio looks shorter and in near production phase. The car is likely to hit the Indian shore in the second half of this year and will rival the C-segment brigade leading by Honda City along with Hyundai Verna.

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has been testing the Ciaz quite a lot and the vehicle has been spotted several times. Seems like Maruti is on a high note to replace the aging SX4 soon. Speaking of the design, though carrying the Ciaz concept's cues but the Alivio concept looks slightly diluted in details, obviously as it will be entering the production line soon. The vehicle showcased features projector headlamps while the tail lamps are identical to Ciaz concept. The Alivio concept also features rear bumper integrated twin exhausts. Lot of chrome is thrown around the profile of the car.

Mechanically, the car is expected to carry a 1.6 liter petrol motor and a 1.3 liter Fiat derived multi-jet diesel motor with variable geometry turbo-charger.
