CarDekho has been regularly updating you on the mid-life facelift version of Nissan's flagship hatchback Micra, which is being sold worldwide with different badges. A few days back the 2013 Nissan March (Known as Micra in India) was spotted in Thailand during its advertisement shoot there, now the company has released the official video and updated the Nissan Thailand's website with all the information and pictures of the car.
The car has received some good changes, if not heavy, which have helped the new Micra too get better in most departments be it the looks, features and other things. What we personally loved about the car is the redesigned front fascia, making it look muscular and sportier now. It has now received a new air dam, a new front bumper, new grille and revised headlights.
When it comes to the rear side of the car, the 2013 Micra now gets revised tail lamps, a new rear bumper, however it largely remains the same. Side profile too looks similar to the existing Micra.
Here in India as well, Nissan has been testing a new Micra, and there will also be a price cut version of the vehicle in India to target entry level hatchback buyers, so we can expect the new generation to come to India as well.
Nissan India is also planning to launch a CVT automatic version of the Micra to compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ritz AT, Honda Brio AT and others in the league.
However, the mid-life facelift version of the Micra might come a little late. The 2013 Nissan Micra will possibly retain the existing 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre k9k turbo diesel engines. When it comes to features, the 2013 Nissan Micra has received the features like ABS+EBD, ESP with speed sensor, X-tronic CVT, Rear view camera and few others, so expect the India bound 2013 Micra too to have all these features. The existing Micra lacks in some important safety features including the ABS & EBD and front passenger airbag, only the top of the line variant VS has all the aforementioned features.
