New face-lifted Skoda Fabia on its way to India

Skoda India, a subsidiary of Germany based leading car makerVolkswagen, is planning to launch a face-lifted version of its popular premium hatchback Skoda Fabia in the country by the end of this year. According to recent media reports, the new version of Fabia will be manufactured with a higher percentage of localized content as compared to the existing model of this car. However, any official announcement in this regard is yet to be made by the company.
According to some industry sources, the new mid-life face-lift of Fabia will come featured with new head and tail lamp along with some minor modifications in the interiors. With this, the new version is speculated to come powered with a 1.2L 75bhp 3-cylinder engine, which is already doing a good job in Volkswagen Polo hatchback. The new Skoda Fabia
is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 5.5 to 7.5 lakh. The company had announced at the recent Geneva Auto Show that its Fabia model will be refurbished in all of its markets. While the vertical lines of its exteriors will be replaced by the horizontal, the interior have been changed considerably. The new Fabia will be available in new and exciting colors to choose from.
Moreover, the company is also preparing to launch its much awaited SUV Skoda Yeti in the Indian market by the end of this quarter. The Yeti model is expected to be launched in the price range of Rs 10 to 14 lakh.
