New Honda Brio launched in Indonesia

Honda, the Japanese carmaker has launched the new Brio hatchback in Indonesia. The new Brio variants now include New Brio 1.2L A/T, Brio Sports 1.3L, and Brio Satya, developed with Honda's high quality, in response to the Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) program. Honda Brio was first launched in Indonesia on August 2, 2012 as Honda's first offering in the City Car segment. For the first time in Indonesia, Honda introduced i-VTEC SOHC 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine with 87bhp, segment best. Equipped with Drive By Wire (DBW), Grade Logic Control and Shift Hold Control, New Brio is not only powerful but also is fuel efficient and complies with Euro 4 emission standards. The engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission, which ensures hassle free drive.

The tilt steering of the vehicle allows the driver to set the high and low position of the steering wheel. The Electric Power Steering (EPS) lightens the steering at low speeds and increases stability at high speeds. The new Brio features Fog lamp, rear wiper and rear chrome garnish complement existing features like Body colored side mirror, body coloured door handles, 14 inch alloy wheel and tail gate spoiler. The interior of the vehicle comes with 2-din audio system, single disc player, MP3/WMA + USB port + Aux Input + Made for iPod (Type E), Front + Rear Speakers (Type E & S).

The new Honda Brio 1.2 LA / T is equipped with safety features such as Dual SRS Airbags, Pretensioner Seatbelt with Load Limiter and ABS + EBD braking devices. Body frame structure uses the G-Force Control Technology (G-CON) + Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACETM). The company also launched a more sporty and powerful model, New Brio Sports, which is powered by a 1.3L SOHC 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine that develops 98bhp.

New Honda Brio Satya, Honda’s LCGC with High Quality Product

New Honda Brio Satya was designed as a response to the Low Cost Green Car program by the Indonesian government. New Satya consists of three types: E,S and A. These three variant use the platform and the base model as the same as Honda Brio. The vehicle also comes equipped with all the aforementioned features. All Satya Brios are equipped with G-CON, dual SRS airbags, pretensioner seatbelt with Load limiter and immobilizer.

Brio Satya is powered by a 1.2 liter SOHC 4 cylinder i-VTEC engine capable of producing 87bhp, which is the largest in its class. A variety of cutting-edge technologies like Drive by Wire, Shift Hold Control, and Grade Logic Control are also included to increase the driving comfort and fuel efficiency of Brio Satya. All types Brio Satya come with 5-speed manual transmission.

The new Honda Brio 1.2 LA/T is priced at Rp 136 million, while the Brio Satya is tagged at Rp 117 million.
