New SUV from Mahindra by 2011

Mahindra and Mahindra, known as the largest Vehicle maker in India, has declared the introduction of an all new premium SUV from its 700 acre Chakan facility.  The cost will be around 10 lakh and above. And the company will continue with an investment of Rs 600-700 crore at here.The company has finally given a statement for the opening of its hi-tech plant at Chakan, Pune. Dr Pawan Goenka, President of Automotive Sector, (M&M) is reported the launch of new SUV called as W201,by the end of 2010 or maybe in the beginning of next year. While some amount of the new SUVs to be exported to the US market. And the plant have had an investment of Rs 2,500 crore in the Chakan facility so far. He also spoke of plant capacity by 250,000 units in the second half, although the final decision is to be made. This is the first product of (M&M) with the front wheel vehicle, and also build with a monocouqe construction. The W201 will be provided with transversely placed MHAWK engine of (2179cc) and will be available in both manual and transmission.
