Adding spice to the Indian Automobile world, today Volkswagen said that it will be launching its all exclusive editions of Volkswagen Passat and Volkswagen Jetta in India by 2011. according to Lutz Kothe, Head of Marketing and PR (Passenger Cars), Volkswagen Group, brand new editions of Volkswagen Jetta and Volkswagen Passat will be launched in the Indian Auto market by next year. This big news has bought all the car enthusiast in celebration mood as nothing can be better than welcoming the new year with such exclusive pieces of work from Volkswagen.
Lutz also added that the special editions of Volkswagen Passat and Volkeswagen jetta will be assembled on Indian grounds and yet company has no rigid plans to manufacture it at the local level. He also admitted the fact that reason behind declaring the big launch in Indian auto markets is its exponential growth and hidden opportunities. He said that luxury cars have great destiny in Indian Auto market as the demand is taking big leaps here thus a good launch at right time can lead to some real profitable outcomes.

For now company officials denied to disclose any information on these special editions of Volkswagen Passat and Volkswagen Jetta. The company got a huge positive response for its Volkswagen Polo and Volkswagen Vento which was evident from 2 to 3 months waiting period on their booking.

Lutz also said that the company will be working hard on its Chakan facility in Maharashtra which will help them meet the growing demands. He also commented that the company's built Volkswagen Polo in white shade is catching a great demand in market which is again forcing company to speed up the production process. Though he made any comment on the figures. The November sales of Volkswagen Polo and Volkswagen Vento flaunts a total figure of 4,613 units and the total sales from January to November reached a mark of 26,000 units. The company has made a huge investment of Rs 3,800-crore on its Chakan plant and has plans to increase its capacity to 1.1-lakh units.
