News of the Week - WagonR Pro LE and Camry Introduced

We started the last week of August with an objective to reveal informations on upcoming cars, which are to launch by the last quarter of 2012 or the early next year. The list included Mahindra Quanto (Earlier known as Mini Xylo/Xylo Mini), Ashok Leyland Stile, Tata Safari Storme, Renault Scala, Honda City CNG, Land Rover Freelander 2 upgraded and few more. We also covered two big launches that happened during the week, Maruti Suzuki WagnoR Pro Limited Edition and New Toyota Camry.

On the other hand, there was an international launch, Freelander 2 which is said to coming to India as well.  So here we bring to you the weekly synopsis of all the major happenings taken place.

Mercedes-Benz India Inaugurates the Largest workshop Ever

The German Luxury car marker, Mercedes-Benz inaugurated the workshop at Andheri (East) Mumbai on August 20, which is the largest ever workshop set up by any luxury car manufacturer in India. Spread over a massive covered area of 100,000 sq. ft. the new state-of-art workshop of AutoHangar, Mercedes-Benz India’s dealer partner in Mumbai, was inaugurated by Mr. Peter Honegg, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and Mr. Mohan Mariwala, Managing Director, AutoHangar.

Suzuki Head and Narendra Modi to Discuss on Setting Up Plant in Gujarat

Maruti Suzuki seems fast tracking their plans of setting up their facility in Gujarat. Last month, Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Modi met suzuki officials during his visit to Japan to ask MSI to convince for shifting their operations to his state. PTI now reports that Suzuki Chairman & CEO Mr. Osamu Suzuki will be meeting Narendra Modi the next week and review all the possibilities of their 4000 crore investment plan in Gujarat.
