Nissan India celebrating fifth anniversary of its hatchback Micra, has launched the Limited Edition Micra X-Shift along with the unveiling of Micra XL CVT. The XL CVT variant gets a price tag of Rs 6.34 lac (Ex-Showroom Delhi) with feature and specifications same to that of current XL variant except that it has CVT transmission instead of the manual gearbox.
The automaker has also introduced the Limited Edition Micra X-Shift with production limited to only 750 units. The limited edition model is basically Micra XL with few cosmetic changes. It gets matte black wrapped roof, chrome finish exhaust pipe, black side decals, reverse parking sensor, LED scuff plates and steering wheel borrowed from Nissan Sunny which now has audio controls mounted on it.
About the XL CVT, the automatic gearbox was previously offered only on the XV petrol trim but with the introduction of CVT gearbox on the base variant, the automaker is planning to cash on the rising demand of automatic cars in country. The XV trim of the Micra with a CVT gearbox is priced at Rs 7.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is around 71,000 dearer than the base XL CVT.
