Nissan India’s Nissan X-Trail SUV is a CBU; therefore the price of this SUV has not been very lucrative according to the Indian car market. So it could be said that this was the major reason that Nissan X-Trail SUV didn’t witness much of a success here. As per the statistics, Nissan India sold merely 35 units of Nissan X-Trail, while its competitors, Chevrolet Captiva and Toyota Fortuner managed to sell 113 units and 1060 units respectively. On the other hand, even BMW X1, which is surely expensive than Nissan X-Trail SUV managed to clock 484 units in July.

If truth is to be told, Nissan X-Trail SUV has a quite similar price to BMW X1. But, with the dealer discount of Rs. 1 Lakh, it is expected that Nissan X-Trail SUV’s sales will surely be amplified. The major highlights of this SUV include in its 2.0 litre 4 cylinder diesel motor, which churns out maximum power of 150 PS. However, BMW X1 does have the same motor, but churns out better power (177 PS). But still, the discount will surely help Nissan India in further enhancement of the sales. Some of the chief competitors of Nissan X-Trail include Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Captiva and Ford Endeavour. But, Nissan X-Trail keeps the capacity to beat all these SUV as the hefty discount could certainly lure the consumers towards it.
