Renault to fully establish in India in 4 years

Renault, the French Car Maker is planning to capture the maturing car market of India. To accelerate its growth, the auto marker has recently appointed Len Curran as the Vice-President, Sales and Marketing Renault India who would also be the member of management Committee for the Renault India. Len Curran has been the Director of Commercial Operations in UK Renault since 2006. This man is behind, the success of turning the less profitable brand into one of the strongest and saleable brand in terms of profits.
Renault has clear intentions of being an independent forerunner in the Indian Auto Market. The Indian automobile market has shown a 10 per cent hike in its growth recently and Renault wants to utilize the market potential well.
Marc Nassif, Managing Director of Renault India said that the company's strategy and plans are moving fast since April 2010. The company wants to establish its products fast in the Indian auto market. It is already in the process of selecting and establishing dealers across the country. It looks that Renault's aggressive planning is soon to meet the sales target in India. With aggressive schemes, they do not wish to compromise on the brand and its quality. Renault has plans to introduce a full range of its products in the Indian market in a four years time span, as revealed by Renault at the Auto Expo Delhi in January 2010. With such extensive strategies and planning the company will spread its networking across the country till August, 2011 covering atleast 35 cities.
In lieu of the growth Renault wishes to achieve, Renault – Nissan has started a well equipped manufacturing unit, which can produce almost 400,000 cars every year.
In the process to establish themselves in the market Nissan-Renault-Bajaj will soon come with its low cost and fuel efficient car, that is speculated to come in 2012. Renault has also said that the company is developing cars to meet the Indian standards. Renault is also planning to come with five cars in next two years which will include sedans, hatchbacks, small cars, eco friendly cars etc. The French automobile company has already displayed its product line up at the Auto Delhi Expo and cleared its intentions of capturing the Indian automobile market soon.
