As the world's largest car manufacturer Toyota is struggling to maintain its customers in US market amid safety related problem in some of its vehicles, its rivals in the market are seems to be making the most of it as many major auto makers including GM, Hyundai and Ford offerings good incentives and targeting customers of Toyota.

Major automobile manufacturers like Ford Motor co and Hyundai announced on Friday that they are going to roll-out attractive incentives targeting to the Toyota customers. As the Toyota Motors has suspended sales and production of the most of its model in US market due to an accelerator related problem in its vehicles, the affect of this fault is so big that the Toyota Motors has suspended production of 7 to 8 models in India.

On the other hand the General Motors to which Toyota Motors replaced as world's largest car manufacturer in year 2008 is all set to maximize this opportunity as the company on Wednesday announced offerings to Toyota customers like payouts of up to $1,000 or zero-percent financing for a time period of up to 5 years if the customers agree to trade in their Toyota for a GM vehicle.

Volkswagen group which is competing hard with Toyota for the No. 1 position in total global sales, is also looking to increase the budget of advertising  for its US market. Company is also planning to launch offerings aimed at winning over Toyota customers. Our salespeople in the United States will look at this situation very closely. It's a good time to convince customers to switch to Volkswagen, a company spokesman said.
