SBI hopes for 50% of the overall Nano loan

State Bank of India is expecting to have 50 per cent of the overall loan amount for Nano booking. According to the state bank's Chief General Manager in Personal Banking Mr P. Nandakumaran, the bank is aiming for around 50% making it to reflect for about 75,000 aspirants. He claimed that most of the applicant is from urban and metro regions.
Nano booking loan plan was provided by the bank with a one-time blunt booking fee of Rs 2,999 for the base model (Rs 1.2 lakh), Rs 3,499 for the intermediate model (Rs 1.40 lakh) and Rs 3,999 (Rs 1.70 lakh) for the high-end model. The booking will become a SBI Nano car loan after the allotment of the car. As per the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the market carve up of the bank in auto loans got raised to 12 per cent during the year 2009.
