Six Mahindra Vehicles to Hit the Showrooms in FY ‘13

The Indian car maker famous for its tractors and powerful SUVs Scorpio and XUV 500, Mahindra and Mahindra witnessed an increase of 44 percent in the net profit for the fiscal year 2011-12. Recently the AGM of Mahindra & Mahindra Mr. Pawan Goenka revealed to the media, the company’s plans of launching six brand new models and is also expecting a growth of around 10 to 12 percent in the average sales for the fiscal year 2012-13.
The announcement also indicated that over the next three years, the company is planning on a capital allocation of Rs. 5,000 crore. In the same period Mahindra India is also going to invest Rs. 2,500 crore in the companies of the group. The details regarding the six vehicles to be launched in the next three years have not been revealed by the company yet but speculations about some of the vehicles that might make it to the list have surfaced.
The smaller 5-seater version of the Xylo MPV known as Mahindra Xylo Mini in addition to the Mahindra Verito hatchback are expected to become the first two models that would hit the showrooms in the current year. The electric wonder Mahindra Reva NXR is also anticipated to be rolled out by the latter half of this year. Another model that might become the part of this list could be the new and updated version of the flagship Mahindra Scorpio SUV, however it is anticipated that this model will start traversing the roads somewhere in 2014. The details regarding the rest of the vehicles to make it to the said list would be revealed only when the launch date would be nearing.
