Skoda India reports 43% growth in June

Luxury car maker Skoda, recently reported a 43.06% growth in sales for the month of June. The Czech car maker seems to be doing great for itself with a number of models launched recently and all its products performing well in their respective segments. According to a statement by the company, it recorded a sales of 1,638 units in June'2010 as against 1,145 units sold last year.

With the sales volumes and figures posing impressively, there seems a ray of hope for the auto major this fiscal. For the period of January-June, the company clocked sales of about 9,814 units, compared to 5,840 units in the same period an year ago. Thus, the complete period posted an impressive growth percentage of 68.05%.

Thomas Kuehl, SkodaAuto India Board Member (Sales and Marketing), seemed elated at the news and commented that the company is extremely delighted to see such positive sales figures and also mentioned the expectations from the coming months and the consecutive sales. The company's current portfolio in India includes the Superb, Laura and Fabia.
