Skoda Lauretta expected to launch by year end

Skoda India recently proclaimed the launch of its brand new sedan, known as Skoda Lauretta in the Indian car market. Rumor has it that Skoda will drive in the new sedan within two months. For the Indian car market, the name of the sedan has also been changed. Earlier it was believed that Skoda will launch the midsized sedan called Skoda Rapid but then, came in Skoda Lauretta. Skoda Lauretta shares some of its features with its cousin sedan, Volkswagen Vento.

The brand new Skoda Lauretta specifications include the choice of two engines, which comprise of both petrol as well as diesel. Both these engines come from the Volkswagen village as these engines are also fitted in Volkswagen Vento. The 1.6 litre of petrol engine is powerful enough to produce 105 BHP of power. On the other hand, the diesel engine is also of 1.6 litre and produces around 105 of horsepower. The exact Skoda Lauretta price hasn’t been revealed till now but it is expected that the price tag of Skoda Lauretta will be slightly lower than Volkswagen Vento.

As far as the looks of Skoda Lauretta are concerned, the Skoda Lauretta sedan looks absolutely stunning and has a striking resemblance to Volkswagen as it is based on it. Skoda Lauretta has quite similar boxy proportions and profile. The front façade including the head lamps and grille of Skoda Lauretta is similar to Skoda Fabia. Rumor has it that Skoda could give a facelift to Skoda Fabia pretty soon. Skoda Fabia will not get an extravagant makeover, but a minor one and will be available to consumers at a much lower and affordable price.
