The controversial issue of Tata's Singur plant is still alive as the vendors calculating the production number of Tata Nano. The Nano Vendors expect that the booking number will cross 5 lakh, then there will be an urgent need of other production plant. In that case the company may decide to resume the abandoned plant which is near to its present factory at Sanand near Ahmedabad. They believes strongly that it might come true soon.

Tata Nano production to start from Sanand by the end of December and is to produce around 350,000 cars a year in a phased expansion. The Tata Nano is presently being made at Tata Motorsa Pantnagar plant at Uttarakhand. It was to produce 100 cars a day but is presently doing 40 to 50 a day.  Positive statements from both sides, the West Bengal government and Tata Motors, give a ray of hope for them.
