The Tata Punch EV has been spotted once again in its testing phase, still under camouflage. The electric micro-SUV has been in the works for a while and its latest spy shots give new details of the exterior and interior design. Here is what’s been spotted:
New Alloy Wheels
In the previous spy shots, the Punch EV was spotted with five-spoke alloy wheels, but here, the alloy wheel design seems to be inspired by the facelifted Tata Nexon EV. The Punch EV could get these aerodynamic alloys from its sibling for that "electric vehicle" look.

The rest of the design is similar to the ICE (internal combustion engine) version of the Punch. It already gets slim DRLs along the bonnet edge with large LED headlamps housed in the chunky bumper. Based on the spy shots so far, it appears to get an updated design for the grille and air dam and Tata could add some EV-specific blue design elements all around.
A Bigger Touchscreen
Another possible addition is a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, which, from the spyshots, appears to be a 10.25-inch unit. Previous sightings confirmed that the Punch EV will also get the new two-spoke steering wheel with the backlit Tata logo.
Other features could include a semi-digital driver’s display, up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESP), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a rearview camera.
Battery Pack & Range
Like the rest of Tata’s EV lineup, the Punch EV could also come with two battery pack options, with claimed ranges of around 300km and 350km. It will also most likely get multi-level regenerative braking. The Tata Punch EV will be positioned below the Nexon EV. There are no details of its electric motor yet, but it would most likely produce power in the range of 75PS to 100PS.
Price & Rivals
The Tata Punch EV could be launched before this year ends or in early 2024 at an expected starting price of Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be a direct rival to the Citroen eC3 while being a more premium alternative to the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.
