Car manufacturers including Toyota Motors seem to find India as a potential market for growth where their growth plans on a majority revolve around the domestic car market. Toyota Etios sedan and Etios Liva hatchback are the live examples in front of us developed specifically with Indian car market in mind. Observing the demand for the diesel cars in India, the auto major has decided to fill that gap as well introducing the diesel variants of the two cars. This has been the best card the auto giant has ever played which literally turned around the Toyota sales in the country. Taking this as a lead, the Toyota Motors now hopes to export the Etios twins to the South Africa markets of course incorporating the modifications to suit their local car demands.

However, with the extreme cost cutting measures to place Toyota Etios price at Rs 4.99 lakh and Toyota Etios Liva price at Rs 3.99 lakh, the auto major seems to have gone wrong in certain aspects. Very recently, Toyota India came out with a faulty filler hose aberration in the Toyota Etios sedan and Liva hatchback in the production models before October 8th. Around 41,000 models of Toyota Etios and Toyota Etios Liva hatchback are speculated to be affected with this mechanical problem. The auto major has requested the consumers to bring their respective Etios car models to sort it out. Toyota India has proactively advertised in the newspaper informing the consumers of the potential threat with the faulty manufacturing.
