Toyota to bring small car Daihatsu

Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) is in procress to bring its small car Daihatsu in India. Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Senior MD Akira Okabe said at the launch of Toyota Fortuner that the company is yet to do a feasibility study for the compact car. After the outcome of survey, Toyota will take a decision. He added that the performance of the Indian arm will help to take any further decision. The Osaka-based Daihatsu, owned by Toyota, is Japan's largest minicar maker and sells cars in over 100 countries. The official also made it clear that the company is yet to decide about the introduction of Toyota Lexus and Toyota Corolla Altis in India. Maruti Zen Estilo was also introduced recently.
