Toyota's ready to roll out new low cost car at Auto Expo 2010

Toyota Motor Corporation is planning to introduce a new low cost car at the upcoming 10th Auto Expo in New Delhi. The new concept car is code named as Entry Family Car(EFC). This car will be available in Russia, Latin America and India. The company will start production of its new low cost car in India and Brazil. Production in India will start by early 2010 and in Brazil by 2011. The cost of new concept car is expected to be below Rs.4.65 lakh($10,000). Toyota Motors has forecasted to display both its sedan and hatchback model together with new Toyota Prius hybrid model. Toyota Motor Corporation will showcase futuristic technologies in the form of concept and hybrid cars. Toyota Motor will focus on environmental friendly technology which will become a central theme at the Auto Expo 2010. Toyota Kirloskar Motor's deputy managing director-marketing Sandeep Singh said Auto Expo is the most valuable platform in India to highlight our new vehicles range that will showcase company's promotion and revolution. On the other hand, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo are the upcoming models in India.
