Volkswagen Jetta TSI Bows In at Rs. 13.60 Lakh

Volkswagen India, has finally introduced the petrol variant of the Jetta sedan at a base price of Rs. 13.6 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi). The VW Jetta sedan in its petrol avatar is claimed to be excessively efficient and powerful on account of the 1.4 TSI engine. The car is going on sale from July 1st, 2012 and with this the Jetta line-up has become stronger and more appealing. The petrol version has been launched as Trendline with a price tag of Rs. 13.60 lakh and as Comfortline with a price tag of Rs. 15.07 lakh; the Highline variant is missing from the line-up. Both prices are indicated as Ex-showroom, New Delhi.

According to the Member of Board and Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Neeraj Garg, in the current scenario the most important factor for every individual while buying a car is the fuel efficiency and the petrol vehicles are suffering the most because of it. He believes that in this scenario, presence of a value for money petrol car as an option was absolutely important and the Volkswagen Jetta TSI is the perfect answer as this car is extremely fuel efficient and powerful. The source of power for the Volkswagen Jetta petrol is the 1.4L 4-cylinder TSI engine that is capable of producing a peak power of 90 kW at 5000 RPM and a peak torque of 200 Nm at 1500-4000 RPM. This engine when coupled with manual transmission and 6 speed gearbox ensures high performance. The TSI technology used by the engine is a revolutionary innovation that makes the engine compact, extremely fuel efficient, and highly powerful. Developed by Volkswagen, this technology delivers maximum amount of torque from very low engine speed like 1500rpm. In this, direct petrol injection along with the intake of highly compressed air is done with the help of a turbocharger which ultimately delivers high fuel economy and driving experience.

On the outside the car flaunts a design that is well proportioned and has a sharp elegant and dynamic styling. The features gracing the exteriors include the Navara alloy wheels with 205/55 R 16 tyres, fog lights on the rear end, dual exhaust pipes and turn-indicators on the outside rear view mirrors. The car is made available in 6 exciting shades of Candy white, Reflex silver, Toffee braun, Deep black pearl, Platinum grey and Moon Rock Silver. On the inside, the quality and perfection details are mind-blowing with leather beautifully enveloping the seats, steering wheel, gear and hand brake. The interiors sport storage compartment on headliner, lockable and illuminated glovebox, multi-function display plus and rear AC vents for more comfort. On the comfort end the Volkswagen Jetta TSI is equipped with RCD 300 Plus music system with CD player, Aux-in support & 8 speakers, park distance with acoustic warning, climatic air conditioner and front seat with height adjustment for better visibility. The car is high on safety features too with Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), 6 airbags , Front seat belt with height adjustment and seat-belt tensioner, central locking with 2 remote control folding key, 3-point belt for center rear seat, electronic engine immobilizer, engine and transmission guard and hill hold control doing duty in the car.
