VW Polo, Vento key contributors to sales growth for company in 2010

2010 has  been the most memorable year for General Motors Indian as the company was able to mark  several landmarks for it self. All the offerings from the company have  been making tremendous progress in  their individual segment. The company registered 32, 627 unit sales in Indian Auto market.

974% growth was registered by the company in year 2010 as against that of 3039 units in 2009.  The December month was again an accelerating phase for the company as the success story continued in this month as well  with 5,772 cars sold.

Adressing the success, Mr. Neeraj Garg who is the Member of Board, Director in Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. commented that the company is extremely delighted with the positive response received from the Indian markets. He also said that the continuous success of Volkswagen in Indian Auto market is the signal that Indian customers have developed a faith in brand and company will take all necessary steps to stand on the expectations.  He was also found flaunting the company’s dealership which is increased from 40 to 70 in number. This has helped them trap the market in a more effective way. The availability of these dealerships is now not just limited to the major cities but also to the secondary and tertiary towns.

The marketing strategies followed by the company further added to the success as it helped the company in building a unique brand image in market which is very essential to make a Strong base.

The launch of all famous Volkswagen Polo in the month of March and Volkswagen Vento in August changed the companies image in market. Moreover increased number of dealerships increased the availability of this outstanding models in market.
