Bentley Teases the Upcoming Crossover; Coming Soon

The British premium car manufacturer Bentley has released a new teaser video of its upcoming crossover, which will also be the first of the company. The crossover is based on the EX9 concept, however the final production version is expected to be quite different from the concept.

The video is based on the philosophy of “We don’t see terrain. We see texture”. The video shows the bits of the crossover and Bentley’s approach to design a car. It shows sand dunes and then it displays how they get design cues from this terrain. The model will have a familiar Bentley front grille flanked by circular headlamps. The crossover also has front fender vents, roof rails and a stylish tailgate with a sloping rear window. It also features the muscular rear fenders of the crossover and shows the rich hand-stitched leather upholstery. What we gathered from the video is that the crossover is more Mulsanne-like with bits taken from the Continental GT as well.

Apart from that the video doesn’t reveal much, but there is a caption in the video- "In the eyes of Bentley, the SUV is not just supremely capable in any environment, it is also supremely comfortable – and with new vistas on the world, you will see through new eyes."  Moreover, there are reports that the crossover will ride on the MLB Evo platform. It is expected to be offered with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 and a 6.0-liter W12 engine. Apart from that, there will also be a plug-in hybrid variant that will arrive in 2017.
