Mahindra & Mahindra's Bolero has repossessed the spot of best-selling SUV in Indian market overcoming the hype created by Hyundai's recently launched Creta. This comes when Creta dislodged Bolero from the pinnacle two months back with its stylish stance and upmarket features.
Mahindra was able to sell 7,754 units of Bolero last month compared to 7,225 units of Creta. The homegrown automaker is well familiar with the SUV market and still has four products in the list of top-10 selling SUVs. They were able to utilise the festive season too and registered a growth of 29% in sales for October as compared to September.

Pravin Shah, President and Chief executive of the automotive division of Mahindra, said that the growth of 20% was primarily due to new launches as well as the good performance of the company's SUV brands. He also added that the positive momentum for the industry would continue, especially with a drop in interest rates and fuel prices remaining benign.
On the other hand, Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice-President of sales and marketing at Hyundai Motor India, said that the company was hoping to reduce the waiting period for its cars with optimum production.
