Fiats New Abarth Turismo and 595 Competizione

Fiat, in the U.K., has made additions to its Fiat 500 Abarth lineup with the Abarth 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione. These are both available in coupe as well as convertible body type with each having a 1.4-litre T-Jet turbocharged petrol engine which has been taken from the 500 Essesse. The 595 Turismo is for £17,725 which when converted in the Indian currency is Rs. 15.31 Lakh and the 595 Competizione starts at a price of £18,725, which is equivalent to Rs. 16.18 Lakh.
The Abarth 500 with its 1.4-litre churns out 140bhp and comes loaded with 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, front fog lights, rear parking sensors, ‘Corsa’ pack with Inox petals and door kick-plates etc. and comes in four pastel colors.
The new Abarth 595 Turismo will have the ‘Turmiso’ pack which includes the Alutex pedals, footrest, bespoke floor mats, machined aluminium fuel and oil filter caps, tinted rear windows, upgraded front and rear dampers, leather upholstery, 17inch 10-spoke Diamond finished alloy wheels, Red brake calipers, Titanium Grey front and rear sports grilles and comes with 10 exterior colours. The Abarth 595 Competizione comes with dark tinted rear windows, upgraded front and rear dampers, cross-drilled front and rear disc brakes, Monza exhaust upgrade, and this model also comes with 10 color options.
All the versions come mated to either a manual gearbox or MTA (Manual Transmission Automated) semi automatic transmission. Commenting on the vehicles, Ivan Gibson, head of Abarth U.K. said that the Abarth 500 is positioned at the entry level which will help customers gain access to the brand; the next in line, 595 Turismo will allow the customers to get to the next level and also will attract new drivers.
