Fully loaded Tata Nano to hit market by 2012

Tata Motors, one of the largest and the most diversified vehicle maker in the country, is mulling over to launch a fully loaded version of its cheapest car Tata Nano in the Indian market, by year 2012. The new high-end version of this small wonder will not only carry all the new generation safety and comfort features, but also sport a more powerful engine.
The Deluxe Tata Nano is expected to host an array of features including power steering, power windoes, ABS (anti-lock braking system) and airbags. With this, the new version will have a longer wheelbase and more elegantly designed interiors than the existing models of this car. The car will be sport a 3-cylinder sporty all-aluminium, MPFI engine along with a 5-speed automatic transmission.

The company had stated recently, that it is working on an advanced version of Nano, named as 'Nano Europa'. The model was also displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in year 2009. It is understood that the company will launch the same model in the Indian market as soon as it gets ready for the launch in Europe. According to a statement given by Mr PM Telang, MD at Tata Motorts India, to a leading news daily in the country, there is a chance of Tata Motors launching the Nano Europa in the Indian market as well.

Where at the one hand the Nano Europa will be compatible to all of the international standards of safety and emission, it will also be designed after taking into consideration the basic needs and requirements of buyers of international markets.
The entry of a new variant of Nano in the Indian market will strengthen its ground in the Indian market and will enable it to compete more promptly with the upcoming cars in this segment including Nissan-Renault-Bajaj's prospective ultra low cost car that will hit the Indian roads by year 2012.
