Hyundai Santa Fe gets overwhelming response

Hyundai Santa Fe, an SUV from Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) has been received well by the Indian premium car lovers. It has been only two weeks of Santa Fe launch and the vehicle has already received 535 bookings which is in proximity to the firm's sales target of 500-600 units per year. The initial unexpected bookings have forced the Indian arm of South Korean parent company, Hyundai Motor, to increase the sales target for the next year.

The newly launched Hyundai Santa Fe is priced at Rs 20.95 lakh for 2WD variant and Rs 22.95 lakh for 4WD variant; it is being imported from its parent company in South Korea. MD and CEO, HMIL, HW Park said, in a statement released today, that they were filled with a sense of pride with the response received by the Hyundai Santa Fe and are planning to increase the sales target for the following year on account of overwhelming bookings in just two weeks of its launch. Since its launch in the year 2000, two million units of Hyundai Santa Fe have been sold globally.

The Hyundai Santa Fe has been launched in India with two variants- 2 WD and 4 WD. The premium SUV is equipped with a 2.2 litre CRDi engine that is capable of producing a top power of 197 Ps at 4000 rpm and returns highest torque of 42.9 kgm at 1800-2500 rpm via a six speed manual gearbox. The ARAI certified mileage of the car is 14.66 kmpl. The SUV has been awarded with the ‘Top Safety Pick’, the ‘Best Recommended Car’ (2005), the '2008 Best Car’, the ‘Best Quality Car’ and recently selected as the Most Reliable Car in a Survey done in USA.

The smart SUV of Hyundai, Hyundai Santa Fe, has been equipped with several mouth-watering features such as 6 CD changer MP3 player with USB, dual zone automatic temperature control, tubeless tyre, 18 inch alloy wheels, leather seats, six airbags, ABS with EBD, roll over sensor, engine immobilizer, child seat anchor, ESP, parking sensor, front active headrest, 7 seats, AUX in and iPod connectivity, leather wrapped steering wheel, leather plus metal finish gear knob, etc.
