M&M joins hand with Gulf Oil to launch oil brand for diesel mill

Mahindra & Mahindra, the Indian SUV maker has partnered with Gulf Oil to bring in an all new oil brand for engines. Gulf Oil was started in 1901, but at present it is comes under the Indian power industrial group, the Hinduja Group. The newly formed partnership will be jointly producing oil for diesel mills. As per the Mahindra & Mahindra, the oil which it has approved is Gulf Super Diesel X-10 which can be changed in an time period of 10,000 kms. Mahindra already uses for Gulf Super Diesel X-10 for its heavy duty light commercial cars.

Mr Arun Malhotra,  VP, Mahindra, said that the Gulf Super Diesel X-10 has the capability to render more utility in the Mahindra cars. The added advantage with this oil is that it is easily available owing to the vast and effective distribution network of the company. He further said that it will surely help the market in catering to the oil's existing demand.

Mr Ravi Chawala, President, Gulf Oil, said that with the new product which will  enter the Indian auto sector, the company will be able to cope with the increasing demand for the diesel engine oil. With the new joint venture, Gulf Oil has been able to expand its portfolio in the Indian automobile sector.

Mahindra in India enjoys a status of producing power cars which are tough on road and give great utility. One such example is the recently launched Mahindra Thar, the Jeep like SUV that the company unveiled on 21st December, 2010. The Indian utility maker already has some of the powerful Indian SUVs such as the Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Scorpio W and Mahindra Xylo which are enjoying great popularity in the Indian auto market.

Mahindra Thar has been introduced with a price tag of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) which will remind the car fanatics of the MM540 and MM 550. This 4X4  off roader is equipped with 2500 cc,four cylinder diesel injection common rail powertrain which can churn a massive power of 107 kw, powerful enough to crush the hardest of roads beneath it. This refreshed version of the powerful Classic Jeep is loaded with features and is available in four exciting colors which complement the looks of the SUV.
