New F30 BMW 3 Series global launch on 14th Oct

BMW, the top selling luxury car brand in India is all set to launch the next generation BMW 3-Series globally on October 14th, 2011. The world premier of the new car will be held in at the BMW’s plant in Munich and will be telecasted live on the internet. The 2012 F30 BMW 3-Series can be expected to reach India in the next couple of months. The test mules of the car have been sighted some days back and by the looks it can be gauged that the F30 BMW 3-Series borrows quite a few design from the F10 BMW 5-Series.

The new sheer luxury 3-Series will get an array of stinting turbocharged engines. Among the gasoline supplied range BMW 3 Series 316i (134 horsepower), BMW 3 Series 320i (181 HP), BMW 3 Series 325i (218 HP), BMW 3 Series 328i (242 HP – 2.0 liters inline four-cylinder twinpower turbo), and BMW 3 Series 335i (302 HP, 3.0 liters, six-cylinder twinpower turbo) will be on wish list. Indian market is bestowed with 4 models in 3 Series, all 330i and 320i based. The more popular diesel motors are BMW 3 Series 316d (114 HP), the BMW 3 Series 318d (141 HP) and the BMW 3 Series 320d (181 HP).

The BMW 3 Series 320d is the hot sedan in India. With a frugal engine, it is expected to remain top the charts. BMW has also worked at improving the aerodynamics of the this new car as a part of BMW‘s Efficient Dynamics package. However, BMW also mulls a top-of-the-line BMW 3 Series 330d version next year with enhanced power. A hybrid electric version of BMW 3 Series 330d is also expected to follow it called BMW ActiveHybrid 3. This super luxury car model will be powered by a hybrid powertrain including an electric motor. This motor will be packed in addition to the 3.0 litre 6-cylinder turbocharged TwinPower engine.
