Refreshed 2014 Ford Figo Launched - Wi-Fi Enabled!

Today, Ford India launched the 2014 Figo which is on display at the ongoing Indian Auto Expo. There are no mechanical changes, however, the vehicle gets stylistic and creature comfort features. Lets get acquainted with the changes. From the exterior standpoint, it gets two new colors namely - the Mars Red, borrowed from EcoSport, and Paprika Red, derived from Fiesta sedan. The existing Bright Yellow and Colorado Red have been discontinued. On the inside, the car features a new function in DIS (Driver Information System), it now indicates AFE (Average Fuel Economy) along with existing DTE (Distance to empty).
The Updated Prices of the refreshed Figo are as under:
Solid Lxi Petrol - Rs. 3.97 lakh (Exshowroom Delhi)
Solid Lxi Diesel - Rs. 4.95 lakh (Exshowroom Delhi)
Metallic Lxi Petrol - Rs. 4.01 lakh (Exshowroom Delhi)
Metallic Lxi Diesel - Rs. 4.99 lakh (Exshowroom Delhi)
The 2014 Ford Figo is equipped with Wi-Fi, which is the biggest add-on in this update, and has been introduced in the Segment for the first time. Ford explains this with an exclamation - Smart is the new Cool! The car will provide Wi-Fi service to all the five occupants inside. The Wi-Fi in talks here is an add-on package that costs you around 10K and can be installed in any variant across the range. In this package, you get a 3G SIM enabled Wi-Fi Dongle, which is powered by the vehicle, however, you need to purchase a 3G SIM separately. The other ingredients of this package include Blue LED cabin illumination, and Black vinyl seat covers.
After the recent Global NCAP small car crash test results, manufacturers in India have started to prioritize safety features in their vehicles. After Volkswagen, Ford has also updated the airbags availability across the variants in this 2014 refreshed version. Now, the Zxi model is equipped with a side airbag that ensures safety for the driver. Zxi is below the top of the line Titanium, which boosts dual airbags.
Mechanically, the car is powered by the same powertrains, the 1.4L Duratorq diesel and 1.2L Duratech petrol churning out 68bhp and 70bhp respectively.
