Renault Koleos to launch this October, Renault Duster to follow next July

Renault India has officially declared that it will launch five cars covering major segments in a row in a span of 15 months starting June 2011. In this series, the 2011 Renault Koleos Crossover is expected to be in India by October 2011 after Renault India hopefully launches the Renault Fluence Sedan in June this year. With the proposed launch schedule in place, all the anticipations, rumors have come to a halt finally.

The Renault Koleos Crossover, which will be available in both the petrol and diesel version, is a soft roader with both manual and automatic transmission options. Though the Renault Koleos Crossover Price in India is yet to be out, but keeping in view the same segment cars, it is likely that Renault India would price it somewhere around Rs16-20 Lakhs. Skoda Yeti and the Honda CR-V would be the two major competitors that Renault Koleos Crossover would target to outshine them in sales

Besides the Renault Koleos Crossover, Renault Duster which is a five-seater SUV would be the second in the launch series and is expected to be priced at Rs7-9 lakh. Once launched, the Renault Duster will certainly creep into the SUV market that is presently under the domination of Mahindra and Tata SUVs such as Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Xylo and Tata Safari besides others.

There are a two more cars that Renault might add to the bucket of cars in India. Out of the two, one hatchback (could be Renault Clio Hatchback) quite similar to Nissan Micra hatchback could be introduced in India in January 2012 and the other, a sedan may hit the roads late in 2012.
