BMW-owned Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. has announced the highest ever sales in 2014 than ever before in its 111-years of legacy. The ultra luxury carmaker posted record sales results for fifth consecutive year with 4,063 cars sold globally during the last year, marking quadrupled rise in demand since 2009.

The company witnessed 12 percent rise in its overall sales with 13 percent demand hike in UK, 40 percent in Europe as a whole, 30 percent in the USA and 20 percent in the Middle East, while Australian sales were up by 75 percent and 60 percent in Japanese domestic market.

The United States remained the company’s largest market during the year followed closely by China, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. But the most successful individual dealership was in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars said, “This fifth consecutive record year saw Rolls-Royce Motor Cars break through the 4,000 car sales level for the first time in its 111-year history. The result confirms that our strategy of balanced, sustainable and profitable growth is delivering and that Rolls-Royce remains the world’s leading luxury goods brand. This extraordinary success has been built on strong foundations: pinnacle products, dedicated people and a commitment to ensuring a balanced global sales picture.”

Despite of an unprecedented number of cars bearing Rolls-Royce’s distinctive Spirit of Ecstasy emblem, a record number of buyers opted for exclusive personalized features, said Rolls-Royce. For strengthening its position, the company had opened six new sales outlets in 2014 including in Mexico City, Calgary, Canada, and Australia, and now operates through 127 dealerships across the globe and plans to add more outlets this year to expand further.
