This time around, the firm is totally determined to take advantage of this remarkable growth trend in the country. As a part of its growth plan, Skoda India brought Skoda Rapid in India in late 2011, which is manufactured at its facility in Pune. Skoda Rapid received an overwhelming response in India and has set a new benchmark in the Indian car market. Expectantly, the sales of Skoda Rapid will increase swiftly this year as well. Also Mr. Stachmann is expecting that Russia, China and India will become the most thriving and flourishing car markets for Skoda in future. Right now, the Europe car market comprise of 60% of Skoda’s total sale where as about 40% of the sales come from emerging markets. Skoda is targeting to change this scenario upside down by the year 2018, when about 60% sales will come from other emerging markets than Europe.
