Skoda Octavia/Laura RS Version Leaked Images

We have been brining you updates and details on the 2013 Skoda Octavia along with teaser pictures. Now, we have the leaked images of the Skoda Octavia RS which is basically the performance version of the standard Octavia. The Octavia is known as Skoda Laura in the Indian market.

The 2013 Skoda Octavia/Laura is set to hit India sometime in the late quarter of the year. The 2013 Octavia/Laura RS will come after that. The standard Octavia/Laura will house any of the 1.2-litre, 1.4-litre and 1.8-litre engine options depending on the variant while the diesel version will house a selection of 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre engine options.

The Octavia/Laura RS version is expected to house the 2.0-litre petrol mill that also comes in the Golf GTi. We may also see a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine in the RS version. Coming to the cosmetic features of the Octavia/Laura RS, we see that the car gets a sporty front fascia with LED strip fog lights and a revised bumper with honeycomb mesh fog lights enclosure. We also see a revised side profile with sportier side skirts with black mouldings, 5-spoke alloy wheels and ORVMs with a gloss black finish.

The rear shows off a neat little spoiler along with a revised bumper design. We also get a dual exhaust system with 2 quadrilateral exhaust tips on either side. The leaked images were put up on Skoda's website in the car configuration section of the site, possibly by an accident. Although they were removed quickly enough, it was not quick enough to stop them being leaked over the Internet.
